Growing Girls’ Football and Cricket in the Community

At Fit 4 Learning, we are passionate about creating more opportunities for girls to get involved in sport.

We are excited to announce the launch of our girls’ football and cricket programme, designed to encourage participation, build confidence and create a supportive sporting environment for young girls in the local community.

Creating Opportunities for Girls in Sport

Across many communities, there are still limited opportunities for girls to access regular sports programmes, particularly in football and cricket.

Our goal is to change that by providing sessions that are:

  • welcoming
  • inclusive
  • confidence building
  • fun and engaging

These sessions help young girls develop their skills while also building friendships and enjoying the benefits of being active.

Where the Sessions Take Place

We currently run sessions in two locations:

Schools
After-school sessions delivered within local schools.

Codsall Leisure Centre
Weekly evening sessions held every Wednesday.

These sessions are open to girls who want to try football or cricket for the first time as well as those who already enjoy playing.

Why Girls’ Sport Matters

Sport can have a powerful impact on young people. For girls in particular, it can help build:

  • confidence
  • teamwork skills
  • leadership qualities
  • physical wellbeing
  • social connections

By providing accessible sessions within the community, we hope to increase participation and inspire more girls to stay active through sport.

Our Vision for the Programme

This is just the beginning.

Our aim is to expand the programme further, reaching more schools and communities so that even more girls can benefit from opportunities to play football and cricket.

If you would like your child to get involved or if your school would like to host sessions, please get in touch.

Together we can help grow girls’ sport in our community.
