At Fit 4 Learning, we work closely with schools and communities and regularly meet young people who have enormous potential but are struggling within traditional environments.
George Clayton, “one of the founders of Fit 4 Learning CIC. Over the years, working in schools and communities, I’ve met so many young people who are full of potential — but they’re disengaged. They’re struggling. Some are at risk of exclusion. Some are falling behind in English and Maths. And some are at real risk of becoming NEET.
And the thing is most of them aren’t failing because they can’t achieve. They’re failing because the environment they’re in just isn’t working for them.
I’ve seen first-hand how powerful the right support can be. When a young person feels understood, when they’re given space to build confidence, when they’re supported through sport or mentoring — everything can change.”
That’s why we’ve launched our Mobile Classroom Project.
A Different Approach to Learning
The Mobile Classroom is a project designed to create a safe, welcoming and supportive learning space for young people who need an alternative environment to thrive.
Rather than expecting young people to come to us, the Mobile Classroom allows us to bring support directly into communities.
The project will involve converting a bus into a fully equipped mobile learning space where young people can access:
- mentoring and guidance
- academic support
- confidence building activities
- wellbeing support
- life skills development
Supporting Young People Where They Are
Through years of experience working in schools and community programmes, we’ve seen how powerful the right support can be.
When a young person feels:
- understood
- supported
- encouraged
their confidence grows and everything can change.
The Mobile Classroom will allow us to meet young people physically, socially and emotionally where they are, creating a space where they can reconnect with learning and build a positive future.
